I Never Thought Letterman Was Funny; Now I Think He's Pathetic!

David Letterman pretends to be a comedian; I've never found his humor funny. Often it's just snide. Sometimes it's downright disgusting like his comments about Willow Palin. The latest revelation just illustrates he's a pathetic dirty old man. There's something "creepy" about almost bragging of your adultery and playing it for a laugh. He reminds me of the guy in a trench coat waiting for unsuspecting girls in the park so he can expose himself. Yuck! It certainly explains what he said about Sarah Palin and her pretty teenage daughter -- he was probably fantasizing!

How often has a conservative been outed as an adulterer or fornicator or as an abuser of younger staff members and had the same reaction: Laughter? Joking? Applause? Hmm...I'm thinking...still thinking...still thinking...can't think of any, can you?

I personally don't find adultery, sexual harassment and abuse of younger staff members amusing. And I'm kind of puzzled why liberals who are absolutely appalled at a governor's sexual escapades think that Letterman's are such a hoot! He's a married man too after all! Don't you wonder what his wife thinks of all this? Will she stand by her man?

If Letterman was a General in the Army having sex with a young military staffer or a professor cavorting with one of his students, or the CEO of a company engaging in hanky-panky with an up and coming young executive would people be laughing? Wouldn't they call it an abuse of power...sexual harassment...a powerful boss using his underlings as sexual playthings like the proverbial movie producer with young starlets? Was there a threat of job loss for the women involved?

The audience laughter over this disgraceful incident is one more sad commentary on life in America where abortion and pornography are two of the largest industries and serial divorce is commonplace. We are a sinful nation fascinated and enslaved by lust.

The Bible compares adultery to idolatry and it is no laughing matter.

Pray for a return to morality in our nation. And tune out Letterman. His playing mortal sin for a joke is no laughing matter.

And if you want to take action, his biggest advertisers from January through September were Johnson & Johnson, Procter & Gamble Co., drug maker Wyeth, and automaker Mazda Motor Corp.

You know what's creepy? Telling a story about having sex with your employees to people who LAUGH and APPLAUD

Will David Letterman's career survive sex revelations?

  1. I've always wondered how Letterman even got a show. He is just a smug wise-ass and always has been.

This latest thing is quite interesting and as you so aptly point out shows the self-serving double standard of the left for which no perversion is not permitted and their attitude towards the right which is that the appearance of impropriety is as bad as actual impropriety, and since the appearance is what the left is good at lying about, they are always concocting hateful stories. I think it's probably a sign of some mild form of possession.
