The Republicans Need to Stop Drinking the Kool-Aid!

Joe Sobran always used to write about the "stupid party" and the Republicans continue to demonstrate they deserve the description by their post election comments. A number of party leaders from RNC Chairman Michael Steele on down, when asked if the election was a repudiation of Obama, said oh no.

Of course it is! It's a repudiation of big-government liberalism. The fact that an unknown accountant in New York came within 3% of winning in the 23rd District of New York illustrates an electorate fed up with politics as usual that's headed toward big-government socialism regardless of who's in office.

But the Republicans still don't get it. They play the game with the media shaking their heads over the "extreme right wing" while they engage in the party game of "call a liberal a moderate." If I hear one more talking head say Scozzafava was a moderate, I think I will upchuck. She was a left-wing radical even more outrageous than the Democrat running. She proved her credentials as a not-so-closeted Democrat by pulling out and endorsing Owens. If she is ever allowed to engage in Republican politics in the 23rd District again (or anywhere else), it will be one more example of the Republicans' loss of principles. but let's face it. As a party, they don't have any. Pro-abort Colin Powell endorses Obama. What do the Republicans do? Keep quiet. They have no principles except their so-called "big tent."

Well some of us don't want to be under a big tent with advocates of child-killing and champions of sodomy and same-sex marriage. We don't want to stand shoulder to shoulder with those who destroy individual righs and destroy American sovereignty. The life issues are absolutely non-negotiable so don't ask us to compromise on them.

But no matter how clear the writing on the wall is, the political prostitutes can't (or won't) read it. It's about principles, stupid!

As happy as I was over last night's outcome, I think it's unlikely the Republican party will take the right lesson from it. Which means real constitutional conservatives need to keep giving it to them at the ballot box. Being willing to lose is the cost of having principles. The party better either get them, or get used to being in the minority.

So:

NEVER EVER SUPPORT A RINO.

NEVER EVER VOTE FOR THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS.

NEVER EVER VOTE FOR A LIBERAL (OR "MODERATE" LIKE DEDE) IN ELEPHANT'S CLOTHING.

NEVER EVER SUPPORT A PRO-ABORTION OR PRO-SODOMY POLITICIAN.

If the powers that be don't respect the party base which is anything but extreme despite all the hysterical rhetoric, (Extreme is pulling a baby out of his mom's womb, stabbing him in the head, and sucking out his brains.) then let them lose elections. The Republican party is not our Savior.

Let's hope the party bosses learn from yesterday's election. Time will tell. Will they switch to tea or keep drinking the Kool-Aid?
