Head of St. Luke's Banished Amid Sexual and Financial Scandals

St. Luke Institute is a facility for troubled priests in Silver Spring, MD. One big problem - its directors have often seemed as beset with problems as the priests they treat. Here's the latest scandal at St. Luke's:
"Msgr. Edward Arsenault, a priest of the Diocese of Manchester, New Hampshire, had been president of the St. Luke Institute in Maryland since 2009. He stepped down after the Manchester diocese announced that it had received reports of 'a potentially inappropriate adult relationship' as well as 'evidence suggesting improper financial transactions' involving Msgr. Arsenault."
St. Luke's has been a problem for years. Former head, Fr. Stephen Rossetti, was problematic (Go here and here.) With advisers like these, it's no wonder the Church in the U.S. is in such a mess!

  2. I read about St. Luke's in Randy Engel's book. Why is this place still open?

  3. Because the Lavender Mafia doesn't see the need to have it closed. Until they are dealt with, this problem will not truly go away.
